Roger Toomey
President and CEO




Roger Toomey is the President and CEO of UniPro Foodservice, Inc. Toomey has thirty years of experience in the Foodservice Industry. Toomey has led Senior Management teams in Foodservice Distribution companies ranging from $40 Million to $3 Billion in annualized sales. Toomey joined UniPro Foodservice, Inc. in his current role in October of 2000.

Toomey has or is presently serving on the Board of Directors of UniPro Foodservice, Inc., IFDA, Foodservice Risk Management, TOPCO, and DMA. Additionally, he has served on the Finance Committee of UniPro Foodservice, Inc. and the Executive Committee of DMA.

R. C. Alexander III
Chief Information Officer




R. C. Alexander III joined UniPro Foodservice as Chief Information Officer in August of 2001 with over 16 years of wholesale food distribution experience. His responsibilities include the following functional areas: Systems, Operations, Programming and Facilities Management. Alexander also presides as a member of UniPro's Executive Management Team responsible for strategic planning and direction.

As Project Lead with Sysco, Alexander was responsible for the development of numerous operational systems, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, order processing, invoicing and sales history. Alexander also played a vital role in the creation of regional data centers, which serve as backup facilities to nationwide operational warehouses. As Project Manager for the company’s Procurement division, Alexander changed his focus to the development of standards and procedures affecting central purchasing. Procurement operations were later consolidated into SYSCO’s corporate facilities, product group accounting procedures were standardized, and systems redesigned to use EDI and relational database architecture.

As Director of Information Services with Food Services of America, Alexander was responsible for the company’s largest distribution facility, which supports both Washington and Alaska. As part of Branch Senior Management, he was responsible for strategic planning and business development concerning all aspects of wholesale distribution, and helped develop quality assurance programs to compliment in-house software development. These programs produced substantial savings resulting from system, process and data integrity.

John L. Burke
Senior Vice President, Logistics/Redistribution




John L. Burke joined UniPro Foodservice, Inc. in January 2001, when he assumed the overall responsibility for the management and development of the Logistics Department. Burke, with over 27 years of experience in the foodservice industry, frequently takes on dual responsibilities in both the senior management and daily operations environments. He has worked on redistribution issues and is now working on enhancing the UniPro Operations programs.

He has been the architect of many third party inbound logistics programs. Burke is a member of the Council of Logistics Management, now known as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and also serves on the board of the Transportation Logistics Council.

Keith Durnell
Senior Vice President, Sales




Keith Durnell has been in the foodservice industry for over 17 years. Keith started his foodservice career as a Distributor Sales Representative for a family based foodservice distributor in Houston. He also has an extensive supplier background and served as General Sales Manager for Ventura Foods and Regional Sales Manager for Unilever and both companies combined represents twelve years of his career.

Keith Durnell started with UniPro in 2004 as a Regional Vice President – South Central, was promoted in January of 2008 to Sr. Vice President – East. Most recently, Durnell was promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales. His current duties and responsibilities include managing five Regional Vice Presidents and two Account Managers who support the UniPro members and regional vice presidents.

Don Gilligan
Executive Vice President, Marketing




Don has been in the foodservice industry for over 35 years. Throughout his career Don has worked in sales, marketing, and general management positions for both manufacturers and distributors. With UniPro Foodservice Don has held various sales and marketing management positions starting in 1992 as a Regional Vice President. Prior to his current position as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, he was Sr. Vice President of Sales-East. In his current role he is responsible for overall marketing strategy as well as Business Development, Creative Services, UniPro University, and UniPro Systems Alliance.

Ray Goldman
Senior Vice President, Procurement




Ray Goldman began his career in 1978 as a Dairy Buyer. Goldman joined the UniPro Foodservice, Inc. in July 1997. Goldman supervises a staff of 28 in UniPro’s Procurement and Quality Assurance Departments. Goldman oversees the administration of all purchasing programs and contracts.

David Joss
Chief Financial Officer




David Joss first joined UniPro Foodservice’s predecessor company ComSource in 1988 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Finance. Joss was promoted to Executive Vice President and had overall responsibility for Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, Human Resources, Operations and Meeting Planning. After the merger of ComSource and EMCO in 1997, Joss was appointed Chief Financial Officer of UniPro Foodservice.

Charlotte N. Phillips
Human Resources Director




Charlotte Phillips, Human Resources Director, has over 35 years of experience in her field, with 19 of those years at UniPro Foodservice, Inc., and its predecessors. In her role as Human Resources Director, Phillips is responsible for compensation, staffing, benefits, employee relations, EEO, management development and work force management. In addition, she maintains professional human resources credentials through the Human Resources Certification Institute, which was founded by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Charlotte has been a member of the planning committee for the IFDA Productivity Conference and also served as moderator and speaker for IFDA.

Scott Strull
Executive V. P. - Progressive Group Alliance




Scott Strull has been in the food industry for over 30 years. Strull's extensive career in the food industry includes retail grocery and chain restaurant management, including eight years with Durkee Foodservice/Van den Bergh Foods. He also served as Vice President/General Manager of The Red Wing Co./Carriage House Foods for five years where he was responsible for all but domestic retail trade sectors.

Strull joined UniPro in 1996 and has held several management positions starting as Vice President/General Manager of the UniPro western office and, most recently, Executive Vice President – Progressive Group Alliance.

His current duties and responsibilities include managing all Regional Vice Presidents and Account Managers who support the Progressive Group Alliance members. He is also responsible for new membership as well as those members coming out of the PGA to full equity.
